Women’s Wool Hooded Peacoats

Finding hooded peacoats on the web is not as easy as you might imagine. I’ve done it, though, and you can all benefit from my tireless searching. Peacoats are effortlessly stylish and they never go out of style, so you won’t have to worry that you’re wasting your money on another trendy piece.

The Urban Peacoat: This is not a peacoat for children. It cuts in sharply to really accentuate the waist in a way that’s sure to drive all the boys (or girls, if that’s your thing) mad. It’s sexy and sophisticated in black, but they’ve also got it in cream if you’re that brave. Personally, I’m sure I’d sit in something the very first day I wore it, so my hooded peacoat would have to be a dark color.

Available at Urban Outfitters for $99.

The Good Wife Peacoat: If you want to look like the kind of woman that makes men think of marriage, this coat by Espirit is just the hooded peacoat for you. It’s precisely what you need for picking up the kids and running the family errands on a cool autumn day. Commitment-prone men with golden retrievers will dart through traffic to get at you in this peacoat.

Available at Macy’s for $164.

The Budget Hooded Peacoat: There’s nothing particularly fabulous about this hooded peacoat. It’s cute. It’s not spectacular. It’s reasonably cheap and it comes in three colors. What more do you want?

Available at JC Penney for $79.

The Paddington Bear Hooded Peacoat: This coat is cute. Possibly too cute. It almost looks more like a children’s peacoat, complete with the pockets positioned perfectly for a couple of chilly hands. It looks a little bulky, so this might not be the coat for girls looking for a streamlined silhouette.

Available at Boscov’s for $160 - black, charcoal, and red.
