I don’t know why, but lately I love everything chocolate and teal. Not just chocolate, and not just teal, but somehow the two go together pretty well. Predictably, I’m loving these pillows from Bombay Company. Luckily, both are on sale right now. Of course, that doesn’t help me on the new couch/bedding set/chair that I’ll need to get to match with the pillows…

Yesterday, we took Kismet to get spayed. I felt pretty guilty because when she realized we were going bye-bye, she became so excited she flung herself into a series of “Chin spins”. (something Japanese chins are apparently known for, they go into a fit of tight circles for about ten seconds, kind of like tail-chasing, only no tails are actually chased…it appears to be an expression of pure chin joy) When I picked her up today she wasn’t nearly so excited, poor baby. As you can see by the picture she is one unhappy pup. On the other hand, she won’t have the misery of heats, or the strain of puppies, she’ll live longer, be healthier and the world won’t have yet another litter of unneeded, unwanted puppies. So I guess I don’t feel so guilty after all.
I realize that the Spot Dog Backpack by Little Packrats, is geared towards children. But my children are all grown and haven’t seen fit yet to provide me with any grandchildren…but that’s a whole other story. So I have dogs. Lots of dogs. Seven actually. I like to give each one their own special days, so we head for the walking trail near our home and halfway through it we’re both pretty worn out.
