I Made It!

jeauxzdollz | Uncategorized, JeauxBleauz | Friday, 30 November 2007

Well, it didn’t sound like much when I first committed to write a post every day of November…a post a day? That’s a breeze! Unfortunately, November turned out to be an incredibly busy month–one of my busiest this year! And when I’m really tired I’m pretty much brain dead, so some of them may not be the most inspired posts I ever wrote! I did get acquainted with some great new people so I’ll probably do it again next year…providing I don’t somehow manage to burn my blog down.

Find The Pickle Ornament! Get Your Fortune!

jeauxzdollz | home | Thursday, 29 November 2007

Hiding a pickle ornament on the Christmas tree is supposedly an old German tradition. The story goes that the first child to find it gets an extra gift. Some say it’s a just a charming myth, but either way, the Inge Legendary Christmas Pickle ornament is awfully cute and I happen to REALLY like dill pickles.

What a sweet little Fortune cookie! And you don’t have to crack your cookie to get your fortune! Message reads: “You will have a merry Christmas and a Happy New year”.

Are you sensing a theme here? Maybe I need a snack…

Peace On Earth Ornaments

jeauxzdollz | Uncategorized, Gift Items, home | Wednesday, 28 November 2007

I remember getting teary-eyed the first time I saw the famous Blue Marble photo of Earth taken by the crew of the Apollo 17 back in 1972, as they sped away from our planet. Looking at our Earth from such a great distance I’m sure it’s hard to imagine all the suffering and strife going on below. I guess that’s partly why I love these ornaments and their message so much, would that it were so simple…

jeauxzdollz | Uncategorized, Jewelry, Gift Items | Monday, 26 November 2007

Businessmen usually don’t have many ways to personalize their attire or make a fashion statement. You have a suit, you have a tie, and you can only go so far with a tie. But check out these cuff links! The two realistically modelled bees are hand painted with yellow and black enamel and sterling silver. Each measures 3/4″L x 1 1/8″W. These unusual, eye-catching cuff links are designed by the very talented Jan Leslie.

By the way, did you know that the bee is a traditional symbol of French Royalty?

Jeaux Bleuxs…

jeauxzdollz | Uncategorized, JeauxBleauz | Saturday, 24 November 2007

I am seriously unwell. Queasy tummy is grumbling ominously, my head aches, knees are weak. I am supposed to go work in Eldorado tomorrow.
Whoa, the room is spinning…
A pipe burst in house in Eldorado and we need to go survey and correct damage…(urp…threw up a little in mouth). What the hell is that sound?? Bowels should never be seen or heard…sounds like something really nasty is brewing in there.
I’m thinking it’s either Salmonella or Ebola. Think I’ll go to bed.

Pathetic Christmas Trees Need Love Too…

jeauxzdollz | Uncategorized, home | Friday, 23 November 2007

I’m such a sucker, I always fall for the underdog! Remember the tree in little Cindy Lou Who’s house? The one the Grinch so rudely shoved up the chimney? This Authentic Whoville Tree was based on the famous illustration from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. The tree is almost 23″ tall and comes with a base, ornaments and the famously heavy star atop it.

Not quite pitiful enough? Good Grief! This little tree really needs some love!
This exact replica of Charlie Brown’s pathetic Christmas tree is made of bendable wire for easy storage and includes a wooden crossed-stick base just like the original! Tree stands (or slumps) 21″, the perfect size for a small table or window.
