Now this: have you ever wished your car was more sporty? Have you thought about rear spoilers?
My husband just had a birthday and everyone in the family wanted to go together and buy him a nice gift…so what do you suppose he asked for? A weed whacker. Out of thousands of possible gift opportunities he came up with a weed whacker. He very happy with his whacker too. It’s in the garage with his leaf blower and his huge assemblage of tools. He has a tablesaw, band saw, reciprocal saw, circular saw, jig saw and God knows what other kinds of saws…He has a whole slew of drills too, and sanders and grinders and one whole wall of DeWalt tools, they’re the yellow ones, and Makita tools, they’re blue and a couple of tools that are bright green, I have no idea who made them or what they do.
This is the man that makes fun of me for having more than two pairs of shoes.
Some of my fondest memories are of the times spent at my grandparent’s house in the country. As a result, I love the country farmhouse look. When I first saw these decorative gates from Plow & Hearth, they reminded me of the two gates that separated my grandparent’s yard from the pasture! The decorative gates includes three wood and two metal gates. The gates are beautifully distressed, just like at granny’s house, and ooze country farmhouse charm. Hang them in any room in the house, or patio or covered porch, anywhere you’d like a bit of country charm.

Now this message; do you enjoy golfing? Would you like to know more about Callaway golf clubs? If so, here you go!
Wow! Freaky! I was sitting here typing away and suddenly my whole office began to shimmy! The earthquake lasted several seconds, long enough for all of the dogs to run in and hide under my chair. This one was a 4.5.
We were first awakened this morning around four-thirty by a loud boom and a long low rumble, the whole house began shaking and then a bottle of spray starch fell off the ironing board and hit the floor. But thankfully, there was no damage, just a few pictures unrighted. I thought I felt a couple of really minute shivers earlier this morning, though I suppose it could have been a heavy truck, or the wind. I just hope that last shake-up was the last! At any rate, I went around and stabilized all of our breakables just in case!
I recently experienced another scary jolt–my thirty year class reunion is coming up and I’m about thirty pounds overweight! Anyone tried slimquick?
The weekend just flew by and tomorrow the workweek starts again. I accomplished very little today; did some laundry then went to the grocery store, where I nearly died of sticker shock. Everything has gone up along with the gas prices. We’ve also had a lot less shopping options since our Aldi store closed back in early March. They tore our old Aldi building completely down and are building a brand new one.
I saw a new Aldi commercial on TV the other day. Instead of touting their low prices, the spot was all about their unique culinary cuisine…I wonder if Aldi’s brand is pushing for a new image? Recreating the whole franchise? Hope that doesn’t mean they’ll be increasing their prices…
Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE my pets…and I for one am not ashamed to tell the world! This adorable Support Group Tee features some of the best friends a human can have–our pets. I love birds! I love to watch them hip-hopping about, I love to hear them singing each morning, so in order to attract them to my yard I have acquired quite a few birdhouses and feeders. Here’s a sweet little starter home for your tweeties, It’s made of pine wood and has a removable orange or green roof, for easy cleaning. The doorway is a cute cut-out of a little birdie, just in case your feathered friends haven’t already figured out this prime real estate is intended for them!
And speaking of prime real estate, have you ever checked into Winter Park real estate?
I finally got a day at home today. How did I spend it? I cleaned my house, swept and dusted and mopped every room…I know, I live on the edge. But it really needed it since we’ve barely been home for the past few weeks. The bedroom was the worst. Not because we’re particularly messy, but because the room contains so many large items that are difficult to move around. We have a heavy king sized bed, a huge antique dresser with a marble top and handkerchief boxes and what-nots. Then there’s the TV area. Our TV is quite large and so heavy it sits on another dresser top. It’s nearly impossible to move it enough to clean behind it, so all the dust heads straight for the pile of wires, cables and such.
I wish I could afford a flat screen TV that would take less space. The nursing home recently purchased a really big one for the residents. It’s attached to the wall and has a speaker mount, so that everything is neatly hidden away and there’s nothing to trip over or to collect dust. I’m hoping that big dollar items like flat screen televisions will go on sale about the time the rebate checks come out…
