Jewelry For Girlie Girls

jeauxzdollz | Uncategorized, Jewelry, baby, kids | Friday, 17 August 2007

I raised three girls, none of which were what you would call girlie-girls. They were more the crafty, engineer types. One year we gave one of our daughters a Barbie doll, a few days later I found that she had wrapped the doll in plaster of Paris gauze and painted Egyptian hieroglyphs on its mummified form…a thousand years from now some archaeologist will find it and think…Wha? I have heard tell, however, that girlie-girls do exist, so here are some adorable bracelets for the G.G’s.

I attend lots of baby showers, since everyone I know (except me) are getting grandkids right and left, and I like to buy something special, something that won’t end up on next years yard sale. I think this Sterling Small Heart Baby Cuff Bracelet is perfect! You can make it even more special by having her initials engraved on it.

And speaking of new babies, sometimes an older sib can feel left out when a new baby arrives, this Sterling Silver Big Sister Bangle Bracelet is sure to make older sis feel special. It has a cute little pink enameled heart and reads, “Big sister”.

The Metalsgirl Bangles bracelet is perfect for the older girlie girl. Each bracelet is hand-hammered sterling silver. Purchase the charms that best fit your special little girlie girl. Charms include different colored resins with tiny embedded herbs and each with a special meaning, or choose a sentiment from the word charms, like love, bliss, peace, giggle, grace, happy, family, queen.

Maybe someday I’ll get a grand-daughter who likes jewelry and girlie things…

Remember The Sky King Trike?

jeauxzdollz | Gift Items, baby, kids | Friday, 27 July 2007

OMGosh, did you ever see anything so CUTE?? Remember the Sky King from the 1930’s? Okay, well even I don’t remember those. These fabulous replicas are probably the closest most of us will ever get to owning a rare Sky King tricycle, especially with the originals going for $3000 and upwards! These stunning 1936 replicas are mechanically identical to the original, with solid rubber tires for durability, spring seats and a brilliant red powder coat paint job, set off with chrome insignias. And if the trike doesn’t put you right over the edge, check out the airplanes! I WANNA be a kid again!

Dottilicious; Going Dotty Wall ART

jeauxzdollz | home, kids | Tuesday, 10 July 2007

These look like SO MUCH FUN! These amazing Dottilicious spots are geared towards kid’s rooms, but I could also see them in the bathroom–used a little more sparsely maybe, or as a focal feature in a retro modern kitchen, exercise room, or any room where you want some color. They’re a low tack peel and stick so they won’t harm your walls–a perfect solution if your landlord happens to be one of those joyless types who insists on completely white walls, (there’s a special place in hell for these curmudgeons, trust me)
And what a fun way to get the kids involved in decorating and keeping their rooms nice! Kids love to help design their own rooms! (and when they aren’t looking you can sneak back in and balance everything out…Oh right! Like you never did that with the Christmas tree??)
So instead of seeing red the next time your kid draws on the wall try seeing spots…just peel a dot and cover it up! With over 80 peel and stick dots in all different sizes shapes and colors design possibilities are practically endless.
