I did not get Bullett from a shelter, but the only reason I have him is because he had and was being abused. We really had to do a lot of coaxing in order to pet him. I have had him almost 5 years and if my husband should scold him he shys away until my husband offers to play with him. I can scold him and he obeys but does not seem to fear me. He is really smart and the only time we have to scold him is for getting in the flower beds or jumping on the grandchildren. Bullett is also part Jack Russell and even does his watch dogging for the neighbor. Like you said about Bean, if Bullett barks, we need to check it out. They are colored very similar, Bullett looks like a miniature German Shepard
